Daily Compound Interest using two rates

Hello,

Can anyone help me with a formula to calculate a daily compound interest based on the higher rate of the two rates for the first 5 years, then after 5 years the calculation would only be based solely on the blocked rate.

I am not aware of any formula that will cater for a change in interest rate - and here I mean both the change you have in the higher rate on 5/1/79 as well as the change from one column to another (and if there were such a formula, I'm sure it would be far too complicated for me to understand! )

I have started a table for you that will calculate the principal whenever that interest rate changes, I hope this helps.
