Hello, thanks for reading this.
I am making a budget for my household. Nothing extravagant, but I am the only one with budgeting skills and I want to make an easy to use form using Excel so my spouse can also use it. When he makes purchases, he is going to enter them into a column of deductions using a Macro I have recorded. I have locked the spreadsheet so he cannot accidentally remove any important numbers. I placed the macro on a ready-made shape so it acts like a button. Only problem is, after I locked the spreadsheet, it no longer works! I have attached a visual aid with the macro button circled and the unlocked items dotted in green. The error message that pops up reads, "The macro may not be available or this work book or all macros may be disabled." Since the sheet works fine when unlocked, I am assuming locking the sheet has been turning off the macros. Is there a way to run the macro while the sheet is locked?
