Using days of the week in a IF function

    Hi,

I have a list of different dates for an entire year and I want to create an IF function dependant on what day of the week it is.
i.e. if it is Monday the 24th or Monday the 16th the function should only be based on the day of the week and not the date.
Any help on this would be excellent.

    Cheers.

Re: Using days of the week in a IF function

    =if(weekday(A1,x),true,false)

Where x is number of day of week.
    eg 1 = Sunday

    Hi,

I tried this but it doesn't differentiate between the days. See attached spreadsheet.

You should use it like this.....

Please Login or Register to view this content.
This formula checks if weekday is 2 (Monday), it returns True otherwise False.

    Does this help?
