wonder if someone could point me in the right direction.
Im exporting data from another system into Excel and would like Excel to automatically set any "non-italic" text to bold
e.g.
Product 1
Product 2
Product 3
Product 4
Product 5
Is this easily achievable ?

If you mean you want to use conditional formatting instead of a macro, then no, it's not possible - there is no formula which indicates whether a cell is formatted with italic font.
Of course, you could create a UDF and then use conditional formatting:
