Having trouble delimiting long text cell

I am working on a spreadsheet and on a few occasions, the CSV file did not automatically delimit the cell like it usually does. I try to manually delimit it with text to columns, but it only works fine for the first few columns and then stops. The remaining data is no longer anywhere to be found. Can someone offer any suggestion as to what might be going wrong? I know it's a terribly long string, which may be contributing to the problem. I am pasting it below, and removing any number or letter and replacing it with "#" for confidentiality purposes. the single cell contains about 40-50 rows worth of data. the characters in red are the only ones successfully being delimited, the rest disappears. Is there anything I can do or can anyone see an obvious reason why it's stopping?
