What information do you need to have, other than which team plays which? How much work do you need this to do for you, other than the team match-ups? Do you need to manage a limited number of fields? Limited days available for play? How much flexibility is required?

Just list 38 games for each team is easy. But maybe that's not what you need.

there will be 20 teams in all, they will play each other twice, its a roaming league, which means team 1 will play team 12 for example at their home place,
the next time they meet they will play at team 12's place, all teams will play on Thursday, they play at home for half the games, and away the other half.
and that goes for all the teams.

if they play each other twice, I believe it comes to a 38 week league.

I can't find a excel base team generator that works ... please help if you can.
