Need help on setting perameters for tabbing on a worksheet...

My problem is that I have 3 sections on one worksheet, one on the left, middle, and right, and when tabbing through the worksheet, I want the tab key to first go down the section on the left, then go to the section in the middle tabbing from left to right, and then the section on the right.

Another way of saying this is I want the path that the tab key follows to be:

    C10, C12, C13, H7, J7, H8, J8, H9, J9... all the way down to H42, J42, then start at the top of O7, Q7, O8, Q8... all the way down to O42, Q42, and then the next tab would bring you back to C10.

Those are the only cells I want the tab button to go to, and in that order.

Something tells me this might be a macro... any guesses?

Use cell protection. Select each area you want your tab key to cycle through and right click. Select Format Cells, Protection and uncheck the tick box beside Locked.

Click on Protect Worksheet and uncheck the tick box beside Select Locked Cells, click OK.

The tab key will now cycle through only the unlocked cells.

Re: Need help on setting perameters for tabbing on a worksheet...

Hi there, when I do that, I just tab from left to right, but I need to first tab down, then left to right, then down, etc. So, let's say I want to tab left to right from A1 to B1, then downward to A4 and then right to B4, then I want the tab key to jump over to D4 and go right to E4. The problem is if I have an unlocked cell in D4, the tab key wants to go from B1 to D4, instead of from B1 to A4. The exact pattern was listed in my first thread, but the concept is the same. I thought maybe I could split the worksheet up into sections so that it would tab left to right only in the section I wanted, but I don't know if that's possible.
