Apply Conditional Formatting Settings to remaining rows

    Hello:
I have set up my conditional formatting in my first row. I have 149 remaining rows and 12 sheets to apply the settings to. Is there a way to have excel update the remaining rows with the same formatting without having to go through each row individually.
What I have is a monthly report: July:June. I track various data on a data sheet which has all my countif's, average, averageif's and so on. So deleting the remaining sheets and just doing a copy and paste then creating a copy of the sheet isn't really an option. I also have merged cells in the row and then un-merged cells in the same row. My formula looks like this =exact($M4:M6, "4") -> applies to =$A$4:$AK:$6. I have formatting for un-merged cells which looks the same but only applies to the individual cell. At one point I was able to apply it to the entire sheet based off the one row (=exact($M4:M6, "4") -> applies to =$A$4:$AK:$423) the problem I ran into there is it ignored the un-merged cells. When I attempted to make a formula for the un- merged cells and apply it to the column the formatting didn't take effect.
Not sure what to do from here without almost starting over.
Thank you for any help/advice in advance.

    excelneub,
    Try this...

This may give you an idea on how to do accomplish your task. Be sure that your conditional format is configured in every worksheet in cell "C1". That's where it pulls the information from. Copy this module above and go to workbook and press Alt + F11, Click Insert, Click Moduel. Paste the moduel in this window by right clicking and paste. Press Alt + F11, Click on View up at the top and you should see a button called Macro. Click Macro and choose the Macro "Practice_Copy" and Click Run.
    Hope this helps!

    Hi excelneub

    The non-macro way is

select the columns in row 1 that have CF applied
Go to Conditional Formatting > Manage Rules.

This will show the range to which the CF is applied. Increase as required.

    Hope this helps

    Regards
    Alastair
