In what situations should you use a pivot table vs. other types of analysis (sorting, filtering, etc.)?
I was just looking at your last post, which is only complicated because each of the questions most likely requires a different method to figure out. I'm not sure a pivot table is the way to go for what you want. But it's tough to explain how to figure out each question, especially with just the sample data. It'd be far more complicated if you tried to implement the solutions to your entire table.
Can you give it a go? The structure of the parent data is identical to the sample data (with thousands of cases, of course).
