Populating a sheet with new data daily when its entered on another sheet

So, i need help!!

I have inputted the formula (today()) into my excel spread sheet. So, when i open excel up it populates the cells i need with today's date so i can provide a daily report of what operations is doing today.

So, on another sheet i have saved all of my daily reports just incase i ever need them. What i would like to do is add a formula to my master data list that when i add in lets say todays operations status that it recognizes that it is todays date and will automatically post it to my first sheet that i have to send in everyday.

So when tomorrow comes i can open up excel and the data on the first page wont exist because i havent entered in a daily report yet

Welcome to the forum.

The way this is approached will be affected by the format of the report. If it is a simple 'one-liner', withe each field having only one piece of data, you could use VLOOKUP to populate your front sheet. If the report has several data rows, you will need to start using queries and filters, or array formulas.

Are you able to post a 'sanitised' sample that we can look at? To do this, click Go Advanced at the bottom then use the Manage Attachments button.
