Structured Reference to a Single Table Value

Hello,
Is it possible to use structured table references to reference a single table value from outside the table? As an example, here is a link to Microsoft's help page on structured references. http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/e...102749547.aspx

In the example is it possible to reference Robert's sales amount (would be cell C3) from outside the table using a structured reference? Maybe something like TableName[ColumnName, RowName] ?

If you put an equals sign in a cell and then click on the table entry, you will get a Structured Table Reference.

Hi, you mean to indexing the table that way ?

=INDEX(Table1,MATCH("Robert",Table1[Name],0),2)

That may be the answer. I was wondering if there was a more shorter more direct way of referencing a value. Something like =TableName([ReferenceColumnName],"ReferenceValue",[ValueColumnName])
