Hi.
I am trying to make some comparison tables for a game I am playing. The problem I am running into is the sheer number of items is making the table very long.
What I would like to do is have some way of shrinking the way the data is presented.
Example.
I am trying to compare equipment, for the sake of arguments lets say this particular category is weapons.
Each Weapon has a class, a grade, a mounting type and then several specifications such as power drawn, damage dealt, rate of fire, etc...
The classes run from 1 to 8 and each class has a sub-class or grade running from A to H (at least) and there are 3 mounts (fixed, gimballed and turreted)
I am thinking that in a flat 2 axis table that I would want to have Class along the X axis and Grade along the Y - in this setup I would need to create a minimum of 3 tables based on the criteria I have already listed (power drawn, damage dealt, rate of fire, etc...). With Each X mark being split into fixed, gimballed and turreted.
For display purposes I would like to be able to condense this down into either some form of tabbed table or a 3 axis chart (the problem with the latter is that each item runs on a different scale and some item values decrease and others increase.
Thoughts please?
