Just curious...why would it matter?
If you were to pay for a spreadsheet, it must be for the sellers financial gain & that's against the T&C's of the home version of office.
You see plenty of spreadsheets for sale for sale & I was curious to find out if it's possible to see which version of Office it originated from
The restrictions in various versions of Excel pertain only to that specific program...not the output.
For example, if a person creates a workbook using a version of Excel that does not have Power Query, that doesn't prevent others using more robust versions from utilizing Power Query in a copy of that workbook.
To answer your specific question, though, unless you can decipher the product code, there's nothing in the file to indicate which flavor of Excel created the workbook.

What's a power query? Aside from being questioned by SWMBO that is
Power Query is an add-in for Excel 2010. Its capabilities are so marvelous that a simple blurb about it would be completely insufficient. Try a web search
I believe it's native to Excel 2013.
