re order names and initials

My format for names is A.Jones P.Smith

Need to change it to Jones.A and Smith.P

Whats the best way to do this?

If you only have one initial then you can use this:

=RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-FIND(".",A1))&"."&LEFT(A1,FIND(".",A1)-1)
