    Show zeros on half, but don't show on the other half

    I know I can set Excel to either show zeros or not show zeros by going into advanced options, but my boss is obnoxious and wants to show zeros on half my spreadsheet, and not show it on the other half ><

    I know I can set the formulas to say IF(formula=0,0,formula), but that's going to make me have to update it every month. Does anyone know of another way?

    Highlight the cells you want a blank to show instead of a zero, then use custom formatting and enter this 0;-0;;@ in the type field. This will display a blank for those cells that have a 0 in them.

    Perhaps format the half where the 0 should not be shown the same colour as the background using Custom Format like [white](0.00)

    What does he think of dashes?
    If you use the Accounting format as a base and take out the dollar signs in a custom format, you would only have a dash.
