    formulas referring to pivot table

Hello. I created a pivot table and then I created a formula outside the pivot table subtracting two columns within the pivot table. When I try to drag the formula down rows it stays constant. How can I change this?

Re: formulas referring to pivot table

you need to use the cell reference and notgetpivot
so if the pivot table columns are C and D and starts in row 5

    use C5 and D5

you could use a calculated field in the pivot table to do that - then when you change the pivot table and the layout changes - the calculation will still be OK
