Pivot table calculated field countif formula

Hey I'm working with a table which, among other items, has a "performance figure". I need to put this in a pivot table (so as to group it by other categories) and then create a calculated field which counts the number of items that have a performance greater than 3, between 2-3, between 1-2 and below 1. Is that possible in Excel 2010?

One option may be to categorize the item first using IF function than pivot them.
