Hi Excel Forums,
I am looking to create a spread sheet for work to be used as a sort of event tracker, where me and the team can all update (sometimes at the same time) different training courses and events, and potentially even use this as a central hub for data (such as delegate information, numbers on courses etc)
At the moment we have figured out how we can all edit the same workbook via the review tab > share workbook > allow changes by more than one user.
My issue here at the moment is how we would set this up to update data in real time. Excel gives the option to save every 5 minutes so changes will be shown, but this isn’t exactly the ‘real time’ we are after. Is there a way, such as macro or VBA, that we can force excel to auto save every, say 5-10 seconds? Or is there an entirely better way to set this up?
I know that the excel web app would make this almost too easy to do, but the issue with the web app is that it’s internet dependant, and in the rare chance of having no internet, the current shared workbook would still allow us to take bookings.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You
