I have an excel sheet for estimating construction jobs Im trying to put all my equipment in a drop down menu (done) and in the next column have what that machine cost to use

As you can see i have the drop down menu now i just need to figure out how to make the Dollar amount correspond with the machine when its selected

IE: I select a cat 336 i want the dollar amount to show up as 150

any ideas besides a mile long if and then statement?

    Re: drop down menus

You need a lookup table and then it's simply a Vlookup formula
