excel online courses

Hello

Im once again hoping to tap into the knowledge available on here.

Can anyone recommend a good online excel course.

My knowledge is pretty minimal but im hoping to build up gradually to understand what formulas mean etc.

I have had some help on here with formula and its always bang on. However im not learning anything im just typing what im told...i would like to learn as i go.

Thanks in advance

Mark

Re: excel online courses

I have found that on this forum, if you ask for an explanation, it is pretty much always forthcoming. I get the bit about "monkey see, monkey do" doesnt help that much, but I still feel this is a good recourse, especially because of all the real-world examples here.

My suggestion is to try and start helping, or at least, look at some answers. If there is something you want more detail on, ask away

We have a forum rule about not posting your question on someone else's thread, but I'm not sure that applies top asking for clarity on a formula that was suggested
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools

best way to learn (to my opinion) is to try to understand the given solutions in your own questions.

if you have trouble understanding formula's, you can ask the forummembers to explain.

you can also learn using F1 key (you learn the syntax of the formula).
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.

If you are satisfied with the solution, please mark the question solved.

oeldere raises a good point, I forgot to mention the Fx button to the left of the formula entry bar. Once you have a formula in a cell, press that and it will help you walk through the formula, with what it expects, and what the syntax needs to be

Thanks again for the reply.

I was very grateful for the formula help. I didn't want to ask for an explanation as to what it actually meant. And push the boundaries.

being new to the forum i don't want to annoy people. As excel formula phrases like array etc mean nothing to me.

This is a fantastic place for someone like myself. And i certainly intend to stick around for a long time. And hopefully build my knowledge up so i can eventually help others in time.

There is nothing annoying asking help to learn to understand the answer.

It is annoying to copy / paste the answer and ask (a simular question) in another question on the same day.

At least that is my opinion.

We are all here to help and to learn, and we all had to start somewhere. The serious members on this forum are all only too willing to share their knowledge and skills with others here - ask away
