Hide the "Recent files" list when excel startup

    Hello,
Is it possible to hide the Recent files list that appears at the left when opening Excel or Office programs?

Can I make the start of the office program open like this interface, (I was used to it on other versions)

I use Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016..

    Hi there,

    Try:

    File >> Options >> Advanced

Set "Show this number of Recent Workbooks" = 0

Set "Show this number of unpinned Recent Folders" = 0

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Greg M

    To utilize the macro :

    Right Click a Sheet Tab.

    Click VIEW CODE

From menu bar at top, click INSERT

    Click Module

In the large white colored window to the right, paste the macro.

Go to the sheet where you want a Command Button that will run the macro.
    Click DEVELOPER, then click INSERT.

Pick the button icon in the upper left corner.

Select the location where you want the button and left click. From the small window that shows next, select the macro name and click OK.
