Find and Replace will not find....Windows could't find what you were looking for..........

Can anyone tell me the reasons why Find says "Windows could't find what you were looking for. Click Options for more ways to search".

This is now happening on all my excel workbooks. I have typed in the entry, Copied from a cell. Copied from a cell to notepad and then pasted in to find. Nothing seems to work. This is the same for text and numbers.

I am popping up a sheet. It must be a setting I have set somehow.

No problem for me using the find and replace functions.

Maybe change your find settings on your Excel?

Thanks for these suggestions. Joe I have gone back and tried every variation no luck. Berlan have you any idea where I might look. I will start now but if you have a suggestion that would be excellent as I wanted to alter some sensitive data before uploading a question here. I can't be the only one and the solution will be much appreciated by other idiots like me who get stuck over the simplest of simple.
