Help needed : Dependent Drop down List

    Hi all,

Im new here. I've been trying to do the dependent drop down list but always return an error - "The source currently evaluates to an error data validation..."

I have two drop down list in cell A2 and B2. B2 is dependent to A2. I manaDrop Down.xlsxged to do the drop down for A2 but B2 returned the above error. I've tried to use vlookup but still cant.

Attached is the file for your reference. Hope anyone can help me. Thanks!Attachment 416633

Your VLOOKUP references a named range ReasonsLookup which are currently #REF!s. You might want to look into that. I think it should be A17:B29.

Re: Help needed : Dependent Drop down List

I'm making a few assumptions here - but hopefully these will address it.

You've used INDIRECT to a separate named range, that is VLOOKUP(...) & List, so the named range that you'll be referring to are AssessorsList, AssessesList, OptimizesList, etc...

Have you created these named ranges? The file you uploaded has no named ranges apart from ReasonsLookup and ReasonsList.
