getting to a number using goal seek, maybe

I have a spreadsheet calculating retention rates for a telephone company. The summed result is in B10. How can I have excel change the rates in a specific range, let's say F5:K5 to return a specific number in B10. For example, 4. Thanks. Spreadsheet boom.

There are too many degree of freedom. You'll need to set a logic on how F, G, H, I, J and K5 interact with one another before attempting any sort of algorithm to solve it.

I notice F5 to K5 all equal 60%. If your solution was bounded by the condition that f5 to k5 was the same number then the easy way to do that would be to set g5 = f5 and copy across so they are all set to what ever value F5 is and then run goal seek on setting B10 = 4 and changing F5

Why do you stop at K5? My spreadhsheet goes to column V.

You set F5:K5 in your original post. You can take it as far across as you want.
