    Dynamic Print Area

    Hi,

I need help creating a dynamic print area.

Sheet 1 is for calculations. Sheet 2 is for print, and uses IF formulas to pick up cell values from sheet 1.

    Sheet 2 has 6 columns.
Rows 1 - 50 is always the first page and is without any tables. This page should always be included.
Rows 51 - 53 includes some information, and row 54 is the table header. These rows should always be included.
    Rows A55:A1000, B55:B1000, C55:C1000, D55:D1000, E55:E1000 and F55:F1000 has IF formulas, and will pick up anywhere from 1 - 1000 rows from sheet 1.

I've tried out the OFFSET formula, but it seems to pick up my formulas as cell values and sets A55:F1000 as print area - even when it picks up only 1 or 2 rows from sheet 1.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,
What Offset formula are you talking about?
Are you using the name manager to refer the print range?

    Hi davesexcel,
Yes, offset in the name manager.
I found a lot about it searching google for tips on how to create a dynamic print range, but generally the explanations doesn't account for cells with formulas.

    henrikf1,
if your question has not been answered consider adding another post with any additional information you believe is relevant.
Just Bumping thread might help but if you didn't get answer right away probably is unclear what you trying to do.

Attach a sample workbook for example. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

    (How to) Attach a Workbook
(please do not post pictures or links to worksheets)
    • Click Advanced (next to quick post),
    • Scroll down until you see "Manage Attachments",
    • Click that then select "add files" (top right corner).
    • Click "Select Files" find your file, click "open" click "upload"
    • Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
    • Click "Done" at bottom right to close the Attachment Manager.
    • Click "Submit Reply"
