Linking multiple Workbooks

I apologize if this question as already been addressed elsewhere, but I have searched and haven't found anything specific to my problem. I have a master workbook with 9 sheets of individual information and one sheet with totals. I have 9 other workbooks with one sheet each that corresponds to the information in the first 9 sheets of the maser workbook. The individual sheets are identical to their corresponding sheets in the master (I simply copied them to a new workbook). I need to link each of the 9 individual sheets to their respective sheets in the workbook so that when the individual sheets are updated it will automatically update the corresponding sheet I the master. Just an FYI, I am an excel novice.

Thank you for your time

Re: Linking multiple Workbooks

Hi, welcome to the forum

If all you are doing is referencing specific cells in the other WB's (as opposed to searching for stuff), then you would link to the other WB's in the exact same was as you would link to work sheets...
=[workbookname.XLSB]Sheet1!A1

Easiest way to do that is ti have both files open
click in Master where you want the answer to be
type = then click on the other file and click on the cell you want to reference
hit enter

If you need to copy that reference, edit the cell and remove the $...otherwise that will absolute/lock the cell. You can then copy that down and across as needed
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
