What would some sample data and answers look like? Not sure I understand what you need here
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Re: Convert calendar date to fiscal month name

I am just trying to covert a calendar date into a fiscal month name with fiscal year 7/4/15 to 7/01/16. Example 08/07/15 would convert the date to JUL, 08/08/15 would covert to Aug.

Re: Convert calendar date to fiscal month name

I can't MMM for example "the fiscal month of September runs from 9/05/15 to 10/02/15" so I need 10/02/15 to still call out Sep.

Re: Convert calendar date to fiscal month name

I never have to work with fiscal/financial years/months but it seems like everyone has their own version!

So, to the casual observer this is rather confusing to have a date period start/end on a date other than the 1st or last day of the month.

I suggest creating a table and using a lookup function.

If you can give us the dates and the corresponding month names I'll show you what that formula would look like.

why formula?? how about just formatting
right click & select format cells
custom
type mmm and enter
for example: 10/15/2015 = Oct
