SUMIF with OR statement with YEAR function?

How may I correctly write the formula below:

like this to create dynamic OR statement in years:

For some reason, it will not allow me to insert formulas within the brackets.

Perhaps you could try using SUMPRODUCT, for example:

I don't believe SUMIF will accept an array {} as a criteria.

Construct it like this:

=SUM(SUMIF(G5:G10,YEAR(TODAY())-{0,1},E5:E10))
