Extract data from a pivot table using GETPIVOTDATA function

I have a pivot table set up but i would like to get data from that pivot data.
For Example below

Total Amount (USD) Column Labels
Categories 01/2016 02/2016 03/2016 04/2016

Agriculture 9 99 1,061 550
Grand Total 9 99 1,061 550

I'm trying to put it into another table like below:

Date 01/2016 02/2016 03/2016 04/2016
Total Spend ($) #REF! #REF! #REF! #REF!

My formula is =GETPIVOTDATA("Total Amount (USD)",$A$10,"PO Period","001/2016") but it's not working.
