Excel "Send to Mail Recipient" Command doesn't work.

I need to send an Excel sheet to an e-mail recipient.
Rather than do a manual copy and paste, I found an Excel command which seems to be available for this.
I've tried it but it doesn't work.
I get the e-mail form to enter the recipient's e-mail and then click on 'Send'.
The form disappears (leaving me to assume send took place) but the recipient never gets it.

    Look at your outlook settings

I struggled for ages until I found that outlook was set to ignore attachments larger than 50k.

Yes, my Outlook has a max setting but that's not the problem.
I've been able to attach a 40 KB file and when I try to send just one sheet of that file using the "Send to Mail Recipient" command, it doesn't work.

There is a bunch of settings that determine default programs for various things like email, music, video etc. Perhaps Outlook hasn't been defined as the default email program.
In Windows 10 it is found under SETTINGS, SYSTEM DISPLAY NOTIFICATIONS APPS POWER, Default Apps.

This URL has the directions for Win 7 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/w...#1TC=windows-7

I check the settings. Microsoft Outlook is my default application for mail.
