Hello all I hope I am posting this right and in the correct place.
I have been working on a DVD sort list for a few days now and after building and re building several times running into all kinds of problems mainly because I don’t know what I am doing. As in don’t have a lot of experience at this.
I have a sorting column using text and no.s and it is getting hung up because of the mix of a text prefix I have looked on the net and can’t seem to find the correct answer to my problem or I am not reading something right , or I am not wording my question / problem right.
this is my prefix I am using and if they all need to be the same length in letters I can change it .
" West- "" Biog- "" War- "" Act- "" Hor- "" Com- "
I am using these for the genre pretty much and they are followed by a no.
5000 2500 1200 1000 800 600 500 400 300 200 100 these are my starting numbers
West-5000 belongs to a dvd pack that has 50 movies in its dvd combo pack.
Everything seams to work great with the sorting except it is putting West-5000 with West-500. it is crazy it reads through the whole name but it dose not know the difference in 500 and 5000.
This is a sample of how it is sorting the column Z-A it is all working out except the no.s 5000 and 1200, they are out of whack.
