Copying/Exporting data from a report in one spreadsheet to a new one

This will sound ridiculous, but I'm trying to figure something out for a report I'm trying to create by extracting from an existing report, however, I don't have anyone to train me or answer my question so...

Now that I have access to the report I want to draw data from, how to I export a copy of table that can be drilled down through on a weekly bases with pivot tables? I want to get it into a new spreadsheet with all of the raw data.

Not exactly sure what you need, but here are BASIC instructions:
If your report is a spreadsheet, when opened you can FILE - SAVE AS then type in a new name/location for the file.
If your report is a spreadsheet, saved but not opened, you can RIGHT CLICK on the saved file, COPY, then PASTE to your desktop or elsewhere.
