Everyday I have to multiply a variable by $0.63. Example, type =0.63*X each day.
I would like to be able just to type X and the cell will multiply X by 0.63.
Can I achieve this in excel?
Is there a way to enter a number into a cell and that cell will then be automatically multiplied by a number in another cell that never changes.

Hey Cooper,
Excel has this cool feature called Paste Special whey you can copy a cell (like one that has .63 in it) and then select a bunch of other cells (or just a single cell). You then right click on the group of cells and select Paste Special. You get a dialog that lets you multiply (in place) all the selected cells by the one you copied into the keyboard buffer.
No Formulas needed. Read about it at:

I think this will be a lot easier than using a formula or macro and you can control exactly what values get updated.
