how would (or could) I use COUNTIF to look for a single instance of a letter in a cell in a selected range? For example if I was trying to total how many times "b" showed up in a range even if it was part of a word or series of letters. such as "bark" or "fbc".
Heres what i have right now : =COUNTIFS(I9:AM9,"B")
Trying to break the totals out like this:
TOTAL
K B F C
9 1 1 1
use
=countif(I9:AM9,"*"&"B"&"*")
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
