Identify external workbooks that access my data

Greetings all!

I have a problem that I hope someone can help me with. I have a workbook containing product data, basically a flat file database. The workbook resides on the company server and other workbooks reference this one for all kinds of snippets of data. I don't have a list of all of the external files that use this product data file, and I have just been informed that IT wants to compartmentalize our server to limit access and protect against viral data attacks.

The thing I have been tasked with is to locate all of the external files using this product data file so that I can update the formulas to point them back to this file when they start making changes to the server. I know I can track back to the product data file from any file that uses it, but is there any way to do the reverse and see all of the files that access this one?

Any help would be appreciated!
