Problem: Cells not seen as number

    Hey guys,

I have a large sheet with many numbers, that has formulas that link from other sheets.

When I sum up a row of say 6 figures, it returns "0". When I copy the numbers to another sheet, it gives the error "Number stored as text". How do I fix this? Seems like it is a systemic problem.

    Best,
    Justin

    Hi,

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately, it did not work. It returned the following:

    ='Macintosh HD:Users:abc:Desktop:abc folder:abc results:[abc.xlsx]abc.csv'!P$2

You will need to show some sample data for us to work on.

Re: Problem: Cells not seen as number

    Hey guys,

Thanks very much for the offer to help. Appreciate it.

I've attached a sample file here.

Some context - the data on the right hand side from A to I is stuff I download from a website for ad campaigns. I have about 50 of these datasets.

On the left hand side, from K to T, I have a row of formulas to extract the important data I need for another spreadsheet. Then, I have another master spreadsheet that has all 50 spreadsheets compiled into one document.

*Note I've changed numbers for confidentiality, so they may not add up.

    The problem:

I used functions on O2, P2, Q2, R2, and T2 to extract data from the table on the right. However, these results in sum=0. How do I make these a number? I need these as a number, because in the other sheets, I =sum all of these rows.

    Thanks for any help!

For the formulas in O2-R2 and T2 at the beginning of the formula add =value(
    example using O2 formula below:

    Formula: copy to clipboard
