Formula to show the first number in a row of cells

    Hi

I need to look in a row of cells and see what is the first number that appears.

    Example
    Name D1 E1 F1 G1 H1
    Jane 7 8 8 9 10
    Paul 6 6 7 9

So in A1 for Jane I need it to show 7 and in A2 for Paul i need it to show 6.

Is there a formula to do this?

    Thanks
