Extracting Data From Chart (Railroad Timetable)

Hello, thanks in advance for looking at my thread and offering any possible solutions, I have been struggling with this for awhile.

I am trying to figure out a way to extract data from an excel graph and have it put into a row/column chart. I need it to be arranged such that all of the series X values (time) are displayed at a certain y value (location). Essentially, I am creating a railroad timetable where y values represent a station location and x values are time. The lines are trains crossing through stations. I need to display what time a certain train goes through any certain station.

I have attached an image of my graph. I hope that this makes sense, please feel free to ask any questions!

    Hi, welcome to the forum

Please upload a sample of your workbook, not a picture of your data. Pictures are pretty much impossible to edit, and no-one wants to re-type your data for you
Also, not all members can upload picture files (Company firewalls and stuff) - and, depending on what browser is being used, some pics dont even show up on the forum

Your workbook should show a small desensitized example of the data you are working with and a manual mockup of the expected results.
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

FDibbins, thank you for the response. I will work on a mockup that I can post!

Re: Extracting Data From Chart (Railroad Timetable)

I have attached the file that I am trying to figure out. I am trying to make the last two sheets more automated. These are the train timetables and station timetables for some operating/capacity analysis research that I am working on. I was thinking there may be a way to read the information off of the graph and organize it into the schedules?

    Thanks again!

The data used in that chart is coming from sheet Station Network. Is that the data you want to use?

Re: Extracting Data From Chart (Railroad Timetable)

The sheet "Station Network" displays the location of the stations on the graph. These make horizontal lines at the y value (distance) locations. The sheet "GTS Tables" is where the train data comes from. The station position is the y value and the time (as a decimal hour) under each train is the x value. Hopefully that is clear, I have attached an image to hopefully help.
