How to prevent formula being removed from cells...

    Hi,

2 quick questions for you clever people.

    1) I know it's not possible to copy from a protected cell when the worksheet/book is protected (Unless you can and someone can tell me how) which is a shame as it would stop peopole from removing the formula from the cell in error when copying the text from it, but, is there any way to protect the formula from being wiped out of the cell.

    2) Still with the issue in mind regarding people removing the formula from a cell in error, is there any way to push information from one cell into an empty cell?

Does anyone have an alternative solution as to how I can resolve this issue?

    Thanks in advance

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.

Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.

To change a Title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

(This thread should receive no further responses until this moderation request is fulfilled, as per Forum Rule 7)

I don't see why you can't copy from a protected cell unless when you protected the sheet you unchecked the box to allow people to select a protected cell.

One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
