Hi all, and thanks in advance for the assist. Having trouble working out a formula to properly apply 5% sales tax (GST) to purchases. Currently using the ROUND function, but that is still too literal. Sales tax of 5% breaks the dollar into 5 pieces for calculation and I know there is a simple formula to deal with it, but I am having no luck figuring it out.

Unfortunately I am not being able to get around the upload issue, and none of the methods shown in the link sourabhg98 supplied worked for me. Possibly there is a firewall issue with the computer I am using.
Basically I want sales tax to calculate at a rounded 5%, $1.20 should be 6% but $1.31 should be 7% not 6.5.
The percentage should increase tax value by $.01 at $.11, $.31, $.51, $.71, and $.91
Hopefully that makes sense and I will keep trying to upload the prepared workbook.
Not to worry all. I managed to figure it out. Using vlookup was the right way to go but I was using it wrong.
