This is a very simple question I can't seem to solve unfortunately.

20-November-2014 25

15-January-2014 30
I tried to create a bar graph for the above data and the horizontal axis isn't displaying the right information. It just displays 15th day of each month from 2014 to 2016.

It is using it's built in "date" axis to represent the dates. Did you want it to be a text/category axis instead (format axis - click on "text axis" under Axis Type: )?

I figured it'd be best if I just directly ask you the question instead since you've been helping me a lot lately.
I have a problem that I'm sure it'll be easy to solve but I just can't wrap my head around this.
Referring to the attached spreadsheet, I'm trying to arrange/sort the dates from most newest to oldest e.g. starting from 2016 working its way down to 2014. I have added the text "Lot xy" after the date which is probably why Excel won't arrange the dates for me given the fact that it won't recognise the format.
Do any of you guys know simple solution to this? I also want the graph to be altered at the same time when the dates are arranged.

Why did you combine the date field and the lot field into a single column? My advice would be to return to the point before you combined those two fields and keep them separate. It will then be easy to sort by date. Any suggestion I would make would essentially amount to "separate the date from the lot and sort by date", anyway. I would then look at your reasons for combining date and lot and see if there was a better way to communicate that each date has a different lot.
I should've sorted out all the dates first, then add the Lot number beside it. That's alright, it might take a while but I'll just manually arrange it if I have to.

If you did not save the data before combining the data and lot, the easiest way to separate them back out might be a Text to Columns. Insert a few columns between A and B, then select column A and execute the Text to Columns (I would probably use delimited and use space as the delimiter). That will at least get the dates by themselves again.
