    Formula Linking Issue

    Hello,

I have a formula in every 5th row that is simply a link to another cell in a separate tab:

    A1
    =Sheet2!A10

    B2
    =Sheet2!B10

    C2
    =Sheet2!C10

etc, where A1-C1 is in Sheet 1.

I have this linking for every 5 rows (row 1, row 5, row 10, etc).

How can I make the formulas copied in sequence when I copy and paste every 5 rows? I want my formulas to go from linking to A10,A11,A12, etc. Currently it skips from A10 to A15.

    VBA method welcome as well.
    Thank you.

    Re: Formula Linking Issue

Well I would likely use VBA to make SIMPLE formulas, but the offset formula works perfectly for this.
    In Formula A2:

Drag over to C, then drag down.

The problem with offset, is it is a volatile formula, so if you get a lot of them you will notice performance issues, which is why I would consider VBA if you have too many.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Your explanation is a bit off, I think. You want row 1, 5, 10 etc. The first difference is 4 rows and the following are 5 rows apart. I will assume that this is a mistake.

    Also, is this correct:
    A1
    =Sheet2!A10

    B2
    =Sheet2!B10

    C2
    =Sheet2!C10

I have made a guess giving you two different outcomes.
This starts off with the first row of data and then returns every 5th row. I have left row 1 for titles on both worksheets.
Enter in A2 and fill down and across

This starts with row 5 and returns every 5th row from there
