Comma Delimited

I am struggling with CSV files, they get generated into one column and I have change the list operator from , to ; but that still does not help.

Instead of double-clicking the file icon to open it, use Data | Get External Data | From File, then navigate to the file to open it. Excel will automatically enter the Data Import Wizard, which gives you much greater control over how to import the data.
