Cell Background Colors

Hey everyone,
I'm having trouble in excel 2013. I have a simple spreadsheet with various background colors in different cells. I need to convert it to a PDF. When I use the export feature the background colors don't come through. Some of the text is red and that does come through so I don't think it's a printer issue. I've googled it and checked the settings suggested but everything seems to be as it should. Any help?

Don't know if this might help. When I export to .xps file the background colors come through.
