export limit - excel 2016

hi,

I'm trying to export data from a 3rd party database into excel (6,082 rows) When i export into .csv form, i have no issues. However, when i try to export into excel format, only the first 606 rows are generated, in cell 'A607' there is a red 'x' it doesn't click or link to anything, just a movable image. How can i get all 6,082 rows to export; is the issue on the excel side or the 3rd party DB side?

How are you exporting/importing to Excel and what's the 2rd party database?
If posting code please use code tags, see here.

DB is "University Data Warehouse Plus (UDW+)"...web based. There is an export button at the bottom, i selct excel and import. I get this error
via excel:

"View Display Error
Maximum total number of cells exceeded (Configured Limit: 50000).
Error Details
Error Codes: EY692ZW9"

Probably a problem with the 3rd-party program. I have imported 1000's of rows of data from SAP
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

That sounds, to me anyway, that it's problem with the database's export functionality.

Do you really need the export in Excel format?

If you do you could export to CSV, open the CSV and then save as an Excel workbook.
