    Transform table to database structure

    Hello!

I want to transform a table which is not structured in the right way. As illustrated in the picture below, the table on the left has values in the column headers that I want in the rows. I though that Power Query might have a command to transform such tables, but I certainly can't find it. Or is there any Excel function that solves this? Do I have to brute force it with VBA?

    Thanks in advance!

Right click your table. "table". Convert to range.

Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. The picture is just a toy model of what I want to do. I have many huge tables that need to be transformed from the table structure on the left to the table structure on the right. I don't think just converting them to a range will restructure the table, it will just remove the table.

In this post (http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...=1#post4464672 ) MarvinP describes the steps to an "unpivot" command in Power Query. Is that what you are trying to do?
