How to copy conditional format with absolute reference?

Hi,

I want to copy a conditional format that has a formula with an absolute reference. When I make the reference relative, the formula doesn't work so I need to copy it with the absolute reference. The problem is that the conditional format doesn't work the way I want it, because the other cells refer to the absolute cell.

How to copy conditional format with absolute reference?

Attached an example.

Thanks

Re: How to copy conditional format with absolute reference?

Where do you want to copy it to?
Have you tried changing the abs ref from =$E$2 to just =$E2?
To have the CF refer to the other rows, adjust the APPLIES TO range from =$A$2:$E$2 to maybe =$A$2:$E$10
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Thanks for the reply.

The Abs ref =$E2 and APPLIES TO range =$A$2:$E$10 works if I select the row and use Format Painter.

Thanks for the tip!
