Populate chart series name from text in dropdown menu box.

Hi,

I know you can populate a series name in a chart from a value or text in a cell but has anyone populated a series name from the text in a dropdown box?

I have a dropdown menu with approx 100 entries and depending on which one is selected I would like that name as the name of the series in the chart.

Any ideas?

why not link the dropdown box selected value to a cell, and link the chart series name to the same cell?

That method never occurred to me (Excel newbie) but it worked spot on.
