My goal at my current employer is to create a unique spreadsheet that will populate the next available unique number to be created based on the piece of equipment.
• create tabs for INSTRUMENTATION (these will need to be broken down based on flow, level, & pressure), JUNCTION BOX, PUMPS, FIXED EQUIP, ROTATING EQUIP and all other associated equipment.
This will be an evergreen document for administrator (which is myself) only but will allow for correct numbers to be issued to all requestors.
Currently I'm going through about 5 locations to get one unique number based on the request I receive from the requestor. I'd like to use Excel to provide the next available number based on the equipment that's being repaired/purchased. See attached for more details...
