I was wondering whether the following would be possible.
As much as I am aware one cannot change the size of the actual tick box in excel. By any chance is there a work around or another alternative?

Instead of using tick boxes use a font instead

You're right that it's not possible to change the size of the tick-box itself. One work-around is to zoom to more than 100% then make everything else smaller.

If you use commas as your decimal separator (1,23 instead of 1.23) then please replace commas with semi-colons in your formulae.

With reference to post#2, here is a simple macro to create the 4 winding characters in 4 cells one below the other.
